Daily selection from blogs no longer received

    Hello,

    This is Gilles at nurturingthegiftofseeking.org.

    I used to receive every morning a daily selection of posts from the blogs I selected in my Reader (tarot psychologique and bluedragonjournal esp.).

    For whatever reason, it stopped last week, and i can’t seem to get it to work now.

    Instant comments from various blogs are being sent to my email (I did a test yesterday), but not the daily selection for the two blogs mentioned.

    Can you please help?

  • Hi Gilles, our systems shows the last email sent with an update from Blue Dragon Journal on 2013-08-25 16:45:22 UTC, and from Tarot Psychologique on 2013-08-25 16:44:58 UTC.

    If you’re not receiving them, could you try contacting your email provider to find out if they have put any new anti-spam mechanisms in place lately, as our emails may being misclassified as spam on your end.

    Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks for your response, dear Kathryn,

    I like your title!

    I could try contacting my email provider and yet, what is puzzling to me, is that I still receive comments from those two blogs – responses re my own comments and other comments being posted. If there was an email block from my email provider, I would assume every email from those two blogs would be blocked.

    Can you please tell me if there was any selection sent from those two blogs this morning?

  • Are you set to receive those blog updates in “digest” (compilation) form? If so, I’ve learned that we are currently investigating a glitch where digest emails aren’t going out as they should be. Would you mind setting it so that those blogs send you posts individually, rather than a daily digest, and let me know if you receive them?

    Yes, I used to receive them as a compilation…good to know there is a glitch.

    On Sunday, when I made the switch to receive individual comments (not posts) from those two blogs, I immediately received tons of emails and I switched back to no comments!

    So something is working…

    I trust/believe there is a “spillover happiness” from work to non-work activities!

    And “de rien” for my comment about your title.

  • To receive emails for new posts but not comments, you can try the settings like this:

    I’ll let you know once there’s a fix for the issue.

    I set up posts to be received “instantly” yesterday evening, and fyi haven’t received anything since. Perhaps nothing has been posted?

  • Hi there – I just wanted to let you know that the issue with folks not getting digest emails should now be resolved, so feel free set any of your subscriptions to “daily” delivery instead of “instant” and you should get them delivered in a batch once a day like you used to.

    I did reset it two days as “daily compilation” and it is such a relief to my mailbox and the one who reads messages!
