Dailymotion and Hulu Embeds Not Working
-
Hello.
This morning, I noticed that none of my video embeds from Dailymotion or Hulu are showing on the site. There’s just an empty space where the videos should be. On Google Chrome, I see the embeds when I go to the Edit page, but there’s only a blank space on the site itself. I checked on both Chrome and on Microsoft Edge and it’s the same thing.
I checked on my tablet and I can see the videos on the default browser, but not on Google Chrome.
The site that I need help with is https://twinsanity.co/

Thanks folks, can you send a link to a page or post that has this issue? We’d be happy to take a look.
-
@supernovia: It works for me right now (@goldstarjp’links too).
Maybe it was a browser issue. :) -
Hmm…It’s still all blank spaces for me. I’m using Google Chrome on my laptop right now. Like I mentioned earlier, I tried viewing the site on my Samsung Galaxy Tab and I can see the embeds on the default browser, but not on Chrome. My brother says that he can see the embeds on his tablet, but only on the Dolphin browser.

Just now, I tried viewing a page using Microsoft Edge and I got this message:
https://twinsanity.co/2015/07/11/2-funny-snl-astronaut-jones/
So whatever is happening with Chrome seems to be affecting Microsoft Edge as well.

OK @goldstarjp, I see the issue:
https://cloudup.com/ck1y7dU1PHPI edited one post to change http to https, and that did the trick.
I tried the other though (which linked to Hulu) and that one didn’t work for some reason. But I did notice it works okay if you set it up like this:
[hulu https://www.hulu.com/watch/10232]Do you want to go ahead and fix your posts that mention hulu and dailymotion? (Those links will help you find them)

I suppose that I could embed the videos as links to the sites if nothing else works. I don’t understand why this suddenly stopped working or why the embed are only visible on certain browsers.

I don’t understand why this suddenly stopped working
It’s because we recently started serving your site over https instead of http. You can read about why we did that here:
https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2016/04/08/https-everywhere-encryption-for-all-wordpress-com-sites/Can you edit one of the posts with a broken video? You may need to switch into HTML view, but you should see a link that started with http:// . Change that to https:// instead.
Do that for all of the daily motion videos first, then you can work on the hulu ones when you’ve got the hang of it.
Also, if you need to come into chat so we can walk you through, try finding us here:

OK, I switched to HTML mode and edited the code and it worked. I’m going to try this with the other ones now. Thanks a lot!

I’ve switched to HTML mode in Edit and changed the “http” to “https” and all the Dailymotion and Hulu embeds are playing fine now. Thanks again!
SOLVED.
