Dailymotion and Splashcast issues – brackets not working

  I have tried both Dailymotion and splashcast in my blog. This is for WP 2.1. I have done
  WRITE and create a new post. I clicked the CODE tab and entered
  [dailymotion id=5zYRy1JLhuGlP3BGw]

  then i saved it….

  All I see in the VISUAL tab is the exact thing I entered into the CODE tab. Nothing is working.

  It will only show you the code in editor (both visual and code), but did it show up on your site? It will not show the actual video in the editor. As well, you can check the preview of the post after saving at the bottom of the editing page when you save it. Are either showing up?

  I went ahead and published the POST and VIEWED it. Here is all I saw:

  Ok….I missed that you are using WP 2.1! That syntax only works with blogs hosted here at wordpress.com! You will need to search over at the self hosted forums at:

  http://wordpress.org/support/

  Just do a search for dailymotion and you should find a plugin that will allow you to play that content! This is the hosted version of wordpress here! Sorry about that!
