Thanks everyone! Our developers are still working on the issues with DailyMotion and Blip.TV embeds. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

Dailymotion video players are failing to display on my site as well. Using latest Firefox browser, but they also fail to show with Google Chrome. In each case there is just a blank space where the player should be.

The video players will display, and play, if I remove the “s” from “https://” in the URL. Can the “s” be removed permanently?

The “s” in the URL actually makes your site more secure. In order to maintain the best possible security, we’re updating everyone’s site to use HTTPS by default.
I’ll let you know as soon as the developers have a fix for this in place.

It’s been multiple weeks since this was reported. What’s the latest? I’ve complained to Dailymotion as well FWIW.

It seems to be a security problem, since I’ve managed to make it show up on IE disabling secure options. However, it doesn’t work on Chrome or Firefox. -
hello, I have the same problem with the dailymotion exportable players. They are blocked by browsers in wordpress posts for security reasons.

I’ve pinged a developer to get an update on the issue. The devs working on this are off on a retreat currently, but I’ll let you know whatever they tell me. Thanks for your patience with this!

Hey everyone, I’ve prodded the developers since they got back from their retreat. The Blip.tv embeds don’t support https, so unfortunately we can’t get those working for now.
Paul is digging into the DailyMotion embeds right now to test whether it supports https and how we need to set that up on our side. I’ve got my finger crossed for you that DailyMotion supports secure embeds!
Again, I’ll update you as soon as I hear from him.
