Dailymotion videos not showing in blog

  All videos – past and present – from our DailyMotion page are not being displayed on our site. A space is left blank in each blog post where the videos SHOULD be, but the videos don’t appear. I have copied and pasted the urls for each video directly from the site, being sure to break the hyperlink every time.

  What can I do to fix this? (Again, this is affecting all of our videos, and only recently happened. I have done nothing to change the urls in old videos, which WERE working earlier this week.)

  THere’s nothing you can do. Dailymotion and WordPress.com have both changed something so that they do not work together. It’s been reported. For now try using one of the other video platforms that works: Vimeo, YouTube, etc.

  Well this is a shame, as I only use Dailymotion. Hope a resolution comes soon.

  The problem started about a month or two ago. Still waiting for a fix.

  It’s because WP changed their urls to https (secure website) and Dailymotion and also BlipTV have not.

  Ok, thanks for the responses, especially the reasoning behind the break in communication between sites.

  Should be an easy (albeit long and tedious) problem to fix for the videos.
