Dalston and setting your static first page

    Hi!

    Total newbie. Bare with me.

I’m trying to get one of the page that I’ve created to become the first/front page but when I go through the help section and tips what they tell me to do looks different than what I have to work with.

It tells me to go to Customize → Homepage Settings. But I do not have “Homepage Settings” under Customize. This is confusing.

When I choose Customize I end up in site identity, CSS and so on.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

On Dalston, Homepage Settings should be the fifth item in the menu at Customize. The order is as follows:

    Site Identity
    Menus
    CSS
    Widgets
    Homepage Settings

Do you still not find those five options at Customize?

    Hi, thanks for answering!

I have: Site identity, Menus, CSS and Widgets. In that order.

    You’re welcome!

Thanks for the additional information. I’ve tagged the topic for staff attention. Staff will respond here. : -)

  • Hi @sagerlindroos!

It looks like the problem here is that all your sites are set as private and so, neither can be used for as a front page.

I can see your whole site is private so you do not need to set up particular pages as private too.
Once you’ve set your pages as public, you’ll see more options in the customizer.

    I hope that helps :)
