  Hello! About 3 years ago I had a blog about a trip to France. Overall, I had a great time, though I didn’t upkeep the blog. Now, I am beginning again and would like my original name. However, I don’t have my emails from when I first signed up, and now it looks like I cannot use my name as a username. How would I be able to retrieve it?

  Thank you! I tried that, and eventually it moved me over to here in the forums. The problem is: my cellphone number is different and I can’t find the activation email. Is there any other way? I never upgraded it, meaning that my site was http://www.daniellagoral.wordpress.com so I never needed a transaction ID, either.

  The username still exists: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/users/daniellagoral/
  If you could recall the password and input it along with that original username you’d be able to reach your old site to update it.

  Hello! I don’t think I have that email, anymore. I selected the link in there to send it to email and checked all my yahoo and gmail accounts. I fear I set it up with a work account I no longer have access to. my current email is (email visible only to moderators and staff) and I would love to move that over so I can begin updating it. Please help!

  Thanks for checking. For security reasons, we can only recover an account if you have access to the email address connected to the account or proof of ownership.

  I’m unable to confirm the email address being used for other account but if you tried to reset your password with the username daniellagoral, it would be worth checking your spam folder in case the password reset email was filtered there — this sometimes happens.
