Dara theme change of menu bar and widget colour
-
Hi all!
I wanted to customise the Dara free theme to match the custom background better, but I can’t seem to be able to find an option to change the colour of the menu bar and the widgets (little hyperlinks leading to YT, FB, Pinterest, etc pages).
The page in question is: joannalechus.wordpress.com
Thanks!

Hello Joanna!
I had success with this CSS:
/* set background color of social icons */ .jetpack-social-navigation ul li { background-color: lightgray; } /* set color of menu bar */ .main-navigation { background-color: lightgray; }In this example, I set the color to lightgray. I mean for you to replace that value with your own color preference. As far as color choice, the ideal outcome is to land on a color that maintains good contrast with the darker menu font and social icon fill color. You will have less code and fewer settings to change if you can find a solution within that constraint. Good luck!
Please let us know if this works for you.
If you decide you want the additional CSS to change the color of the menu font and icon fill color, just post again to let us know.
