Dara Theme – Featured image not displaying on front page

  Hi, I am using the Dara theme and would like the featured image for the Latest News page to appear on the front page. If I use the Latest News page which is my blog summary page, I get the text but not the image, if I create a News page using short codes, I get the image bit not the text. Is there a way to make this work? Any help would be much appreciated.

  hi,

  The https://paleseptembercomingsoon.wordpress.com/latest-news/ does not seem to have a featured image.

  On https://paleseptembercomingsoon.wordpress.com/latest-news/, click Edit and ensure you have picked a Featured Image.

  It does – it just doesn’t display.

  On https://paleseptembercomingsoon.wordpress.com/news/, click Edit and ensure you have picked a Featured Image.

  It definitely has a featured image as it displays on the individual page https://paleseptembercomingsoon.wordpress.com/news/ – my problem is that the text doesn’t display on the front page (customize/theme option/select page). https://paleseptembercomingsoon.wordpress.com
  Any other ideas?

  Take a Screenshot

  Can you take a screenshot after you click Edit, and expand the Featured Image ?

  Ok hope the below helps.

  I have two ‘News’ pages – hoping one would display as I would like on the front page.

  One is called ‘Latest News’ and it is the blog summary page. The other is called ‘News’ and it is a page with the recent posts shortcode.

  With the Latest News page, the front page is like this:
  Latext News front page
  The page itself
  And in edit mode.

  With the News page, the front page displays like this:
  Front page
  Individual page
  Edit Screen

  I have all the boxes ticked for displaying images under Content Options.

  Hi earthgripper,

  The Latest News page is set as the posts page. When the posts page is chosen as a featured page on the Dara theme, the homepage will display the featured image from the latest post — not the featured image of the Latest News page itself.

  There is currently no featured image set for the “Newsletter 2” post which is why that area only contains text. If you add a featured image, it should be displayed above the text.
