Dara Theme – Featured Images help

I just started a new blog and I am having a problem getting the featured images to show up correctly for my blog section.

I set a featured image for the section: https://erinjakephotoblog.com/blog
However, when I view the static homepage, it displays a list of my blog posts instead of a featured image.
The featured images are working properly for the other sections I specified to show up on the page.
Is there any way to get the Blog featured image to display on the static home page instead of the individual blog posts themselves?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

themagicrobot – not sure where you see that the site is hosted by GoDaddy – https://erinjakephotoblog.com/ is definitely a WordPress.com site.

First, let me clarify something. Your static homepage is here:

– and it looks like the featured image you selected is displaying correctly there.
The blog page is not a real “page”; it’s a placeholder that is used to tell WordPress where to display your posts. So it’s not possible to have a featured images display there by adding it to the page defined as blog placeholder in the editor.
A workaround would be to insert an image with Custom CSS, which is available with the Premium or Business plans. If you decide to upgrade, let me know and I can help you with the necessary code.

@kathrynwp My apologies for giving out incorrect information. The nameservers on the two “Whois” sites I looked at were not showing WordPress.com yesterday (but are today).
@erinjakephotography I hope kathrynwp solved your problem. This support is one of the many benefits of WordPress.com.
