Dara Theme: Slider Disappeared
-
Hello. I had a slider on my blog, which worked okay and had three images featured. I just went into it, and the slider seems to have disappeared.
I tried changing the tag for the slider just to see if that may “re-activate” it, but it’s still the same.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
The site talegazerhome.wordpress.com is redirected to talegazer.com, and there is a functioning post slider on that site’s homepage, with three posts displaying in rotation.

Hi there, looking at your site, I see a featured content slider with three post/images just below your top navigation menu. Is that what was missing for you?
If you still don’t see that, please try hard refreshing your browser or opening it in a Private browsing window. If that still doesn’t make it appear for you, please post back here with the browser and version you are using as well as your operating system. If you are not using a computer/browser, please also let us know how you are accessing your site. Thanks.

Whoops! Neglected to refresh. :/
@musicdoc1 is the content of the slider automatically rotating for you or do you have to manually advance it? I have to do the latter and it looks like the Dara demo behaves the same way for me. Firefox latest. -
Morning friends :)
I am chiming in with a third case of “yes I can see the post slider”. Using Chrome on Mac.
Please let us know if the previous advice shared does not work.

Yes, for me it works as you’ve described in both cases. By “in rotation” I meant only that each post assigned to the slider appears one after the other in a specific order, so perhaps I misspoke. : -)

Thank you for all the replies! I am finding it’s a bit mysterious, as I don’t see it still in Chrome on my laptop (in “regular” or a private window).
But I just checked my tablet, and it is coming up fine there. :) I was also using Chrome on the tablet.
My laptop (where it doesn’t come up) has:
-Chrome Version 49.0.2623.112
-OS 10.6.7 (older MacBook, but slider was okay previously)The tablet (where it does work) is an Android:
-Android Version 8.0.1Thanks for all the help–at least I know it’s there and to check the tablet. My laptop’s a bit old; maybe that’s why.

Chrome 49 is old – the current version according to https://browsehappy.com/ is 79 – but if it worked before it should still work now.
If possible, see if you can update Chrome and if that helps. Otherwise, also make sure JavaScript is enabled in Chrome, and if you’re using any browser add-ons, see if disabling them make any difference.
If you’re unable to update Chrome and the other options don’t make a difference, then it’s most likely due to the age of the browser, in which case there’s not really anything we can do. But at least we then know it’s limited to older devices and browsers, and that most visitors to your site should still be seeing it.
