Dara Theme – Social Sites Menu

It seems the links on the Social Sites Menu, like the one to Facebook, just takes you to Facebook. I thought they would take you there AND enable you to Post or Share the page on your Facebook page, or other social media account.
Is there a way to modify the link so it will do that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The social menu just links to social-media profiles.
If you would like to add sharing buttons to your posts or pages, you can do that also. Here’s the guide:

Just a postscript… This worked on some of my pages, and some of my pages it didn’t. I found when you edit a page and under Settings in the top right, there is a section for Sharing that allows you to display or hide these settings on an individual page. I set those the way I wanted, and everything is working well now.

I checked your settings – looks like you need to check the box to add sharing buttons on posts in addition to pages. Right now you have only “Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results” and “Pages” selected – but not “Posts.”

kathynwp, Thanks for all your help. I’ve finally decided that Dara is just not right for me. I don’t want to allow any blogging or posts. I just chose Dara because it was one of the first choices presented to me.
So now, I need to find out how to change themes, and where to find a list of themes that might better meet my (very simple) needs. If you can point me in the right direction for that, I’d appreciate it.

You can definitely use Dara without posts – it’s designed to work with a static front page and no posts. If you liked Dara but were having trouble with the posts aspect, just let me know and I’ll be glad to help.

You can find themes by using the search at https://wordpress.com/themes
If you click into the search box, you’ll see that you can search by feature, layout, subject, colour, etc. If you need any help finding a theme that meets your needs, just tell me what you’re looking for – or better yet, show me an example of something you like – and I’ll be glad to help further.
