Dark overlay (as others have reported)
-
Is there somewhere else I should report this?
I see other people have posted about this, but last week I started seeing a dark overlay on my edit post page. Very hard to edit, etc.
Interesting maybe:
The dark problem happens on Safari 12.1.2
But the edit page appears fine in Firefox 88.0.1I’m running an old MacBook Pro with OSX 10.12.6 Sierra.
I presume it’s this issue? https://github.com/Automattic/wp-calypso/issues/53401
The site I need help with is accordionuprising.wordpress.com.

Hi there!
That is indeed the bug you linked to. You don’t need to do anything else; I have added the comment to the GitHub thread, so everything is linked.
Once this has been fixed, our developers will post an update on GitHub.For now, I’d suggest using another browser as a workaround.

Hi there,
The recent issue you experienced on WordPress.com (black overlay/veil in the Editor in Safari, Chrome, Firefox) should now be fixed.
Thank you for your patience and please let us know if you need any further help!
