Darkening a theme

    I need help trying to figure out how to darken the home page of my blog…using a picture as a background it’s hard to read the white font…but I don’t want to get rid of the overall look though…just two shades darker or whatever.

    I’m sure it’s probably one of those CSS (upgrade) problems but I thought I’d ask…

    You could use some image editor to make the middle 990px of the background image darker, it might be a bit tricky to make this line up, but when you re-upload the image it should match the content container.
