Darkening of text

  Hello. I’d like to darken the colour of the text of the main part of my blog posts, the about me, and the captions under the images. I’d like to keep the captions and the about me lighter than the blog posts like they are now. Just to darken each a small bit. I would edit the CSS file but was told that I wouldn’t get any bug fixes or updates to the theme. And I don’t really know how to use the tool that I just type in the changes I want to make and it makes them after it loads the stylesheet. Would anyone be able to help me?

  Try this CSS for a darker text color:

  #page #main {
color: #4D4D4D;
}

  And to change the color of the “about me” text as well as the captions:

  #page .wp-caption-text, #page .widget {
color: #737373;
}

  If you want both texts to be even darker, you can select your own color thanks to a color picker like this one:
  http://www.colorpicker.com/
