Dashboard

I’m trying to install my dashboard on my word press site. I thought that came with your sites. How do I install a dashboard on my site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with your actual blog’s name in that URL.
If the log-in information is lost you need to visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

I would like the wp-admin dashboard to always be the default interface to my site. I am creating a site for strictly personal use: I don’t want ‘statistics’ or ‘plan’ or ‘people’ or most of the things on the default main menu. I do want to easily upload media items without inserting to a post or page; I do want to access ‘page’ or ‘blog post’. Is this possible? If so, how?
I have successfully changed to /NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin and done something via that menu, but as soon as I had finished that it reverted to the menu that begins with ‘stats’

What I would recommend you do is add a bookmark in your browser to the WP Admin link @timethief explained how to find above. The newer, blue interface is where much of our attention is going these days. If you’d like to keep using the WP Admin interface then bookmarking it is the best way to ensure it’s where you end up.
