dashboard

I am used to working with the dashboard from other themes but I can’t find it on this one, it doesn’t come up when I click top left.
Can anyone help? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
it doesn’t come up when I click top left.
Do you mean when you click on the My Site(s) link? The theme applied should make no difference at all regarding whether that link works or how your My Site(s) interface main dashboard appears.

Hi and thanks for getting back. I would not have thought the theme made a difference but I still can’t get to the dashboard on this blog/theme by clicking my site at top left which I can with my other blogs/themes.

Thanks for the additional information. I’ve called for staff attention to the topic. Staff will respond here.

Perhaps I can help.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with the actual blog’s name in that URL.
I recommend bookmarking that link or memorizing it.
You can update your email address here https://wordpress.com/me
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login correctly under the relevant username account.
If you did not register the site under your username account and do not have the required access, then you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it, and have them act or transfer the site to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
If the login information has been lost go to
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#lost-passwordIf required use the account recovery form

Hi clanmacdharobhnie – as musicdoc said, the theme shouldn’t make any difference, your dashboard should be in the same place, under My Sites.
Can you describe in more detail what happens when you click My Sites so I can understand better what’s going on?
Can you try this link directly?
https://wordpress.com/posts/clanmacdharobhnie.wordpress.com
p.s. I don’t recommend logging in via the older WP Admin dashboard, since it’s an older dashboard that isn’t reflected in our theme setup guide and support docs, and might be confusing.

Hi timethief and kathrynwp,
thanks a lot for all that info. Both of you did help me a lot.
Seems I had not been logged in as admin indeed. Wrong bookmark I guess. So thanks tiemethief for that.
And I still used the old dashboard because I am just more familiar with that so I will now try to get used to the new stuff. Thanks kathrynwp for the advice there.Great support! Cheers!
