  All the tutorials have have a dashboard, my site doesn’t. The tutorials have a different wordpress address than mine, have I set up my site incorrectly?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Im still pulling my hair out, when the tutorial clicks on “plugins” it goes to a different page then my site. I always end back an the “My Site” page. is it because Im on a basic plan?

  What tutorials exactly are you looking at? Are they the correct ones for the WordPress.com site you’ve created? What are you trying to achieve with your new site that isn’t working?

  Hi mylostar,

  It sounds like clicking on Plugins in the WP Admin dashboard is taking you to the new interface — that is intended behaviour. Can you send a link to the tutorial you are following? I might be able to point you in the right direction once I can see what you are working towards :)

  I always end back an the “My Site” page. is it because Im on a basic plan?

  The interface would be the same regardless of which plan you are using but custom plugins can only be installed on WordPress.com sites with the Business plan.
