Here at WordPress.com our major dashboard changes took place in mid-May. http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/05/19/just-write/ -
In fact a month ago you posted this same question and Staff answered you then. Take note that there is no such thing as changing the dashboard back to the way it was. You will need to learn how to work with the way it is now. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/dashboard-6?replies=38

Go to the top right hand corner of your Admin page. http://blin90.wordpress.com//wp-admin/ Locate screen options and click the link then select the module. See illustration here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/
If that does not work report your issue to Staff here http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After using the searchbox at the bottom there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

This was clearly done by the staff on purpose, so reports aren’t going to be news to anyone. Going to Screen Options reveals that the option for the Right Now box has been replaced by the chance to put up a nag box to update my browser in its place; the Right Now box option is gone.
And before anyone says “So, update your browser”: Firefox has decided not to support OS 10.4 any longer, and I don’t have $100+ to spend on also upgrading system software. It shouldn’t cost me money to turn off a nag about free software.

Gosh I just checked mine and found the “Right Now” box is gone too. I didn’t notice that previously. :(

The loss of the “Right Now” box is extremely painful. It was the most useful section of my Dashboard, and there is no apparent replacement, nor any coherent explanation as to why it was removed. In what altered usability universe does this make sense?
If there is some way to use any Gadgets to recreate this most valuable and often used portion of the Dashboard, would the keeper of that information be so kind as to post it here?
Thanks!

We have replaced the outdated Right Now Dashboard widget with the newly polished Your Stuff widget.
The widget will be, in short better, and expandable, so you should be seeing your favorite Right Now features added back in shortly as well as a few new additions.

thecrowsaid, regarding your browser troubles, try Opera.
Opera 11.11 support Intel-based Macs running 10.4 and Opera 10.63 supports PPC-based Macs running 10.4:
http://www.opera.com/browser/download/?os=mac&list=all
Both versions of Opera are a bit more advanced than Firefox 3.6, which was the last to support 10.4.

What about the “incoming links” widget on the dashboard? That just keeps going “loading…” and not doing anything even though the other widgets (except for the “right now” of course) load up just fine.
-
This is the latest info we have about the incoming links not working:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/incoming-links-suddenly-stopped?replies=22#post-612723Maybe macmanx or another staff member can provide us an update (if there is one)

Trying Opera and not hating it now that I have adblock working, but I’m having severely annoying bookmark issues that I can’t find answers for in the docs. This probably isn’t the place for it, but can you point me toward some more detailed help?
