I do not understand how to navigate to the dashboard. The Help section refers to a gray bar, but I do not see this.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your Dashboard Admin section is at http://optionsbistro.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
Your detailed theme description page is at
https://wordpress.com/themes/ryu/ and the live demo site is at https://ryudemo.wordpress.com/Please post again be more specific about exactly what you want to do so I can provide instructions.

There is a different site linked above than the one automatically linked to in the original post at https://optionsbistro.wordpress.com/
There you are using the old P2 Classic theme https://wordpress.com/themes/p2 and the recommendation is to Check out the new, fully responsive, P2 Breathe theme. https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/p2-breathe/

How do I navigate to the dashboard? The help page refers to a gray bar at top of screen but there is none. Do I have to type in the url you list to get to dashboard? Isn’t there a way to access it from my blog without having to type in a url?
Thanks for your help.

I need to seer exactly where you see this reference to a gray bar at the top.Post the link of the page you see that on. Or you can use http://snag.gy/ to share a screenshot and link to it here.

Dashboard
The Dashboard is the first screen you see when you log into the administration area of your blog. The main idea of the dashboard is to give you a place where you can get an at-a-glance overview of what’s happening with your blog. This support doc covers the various modules that make up the Dashboard.
Admin Bar
You may have noticed a gray bar that appears at the top of your pages when logged into your WordPress.com account. This gray bar is called the Admin Bar and it is an easy-to-access toolbar with shortcuts to many of the WordPress.com features you already know and love. This support doc contains information on all the features of the Admin Bar to help you get the most out of your WordPress.com experience. -
So perhaps my question is, how do I access the “administration area”? Do I have to type in the URL or can I click to it somehow?

The dashboard of all wordpress.com hosted sites is found at
https://NAME_OF_BLOG>wordpress.com/wp-admin/Example 1:
Your Dashboard Admin section is at http://trolleyway.wordpress.com/wp-adminExample 2:

YIKES! I made a typing error above.
The dashboard of all wordpress.com hosted sites is found at

Can we please have you confirm exactly which blog starting with https:// that you are referring to?
-
Yes, I can access them, but can I access it by clicking somewhere in my blog? Or must I always type in the full URL’s you list? Where is the “gray bar” described in the Support area (that I pasted above).
By the way, P2-breathe is great, thanks!

It’s easy to memorize:
https://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/I see dark gray/black colored bar at the top of all my wordpress.com blogs. On it from right to left I see links:
My Sites ReaderPlease provide this info:

Read this first:
Summary https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/Administrator – nothing is off limits
Editor – has access to all posts, pages, comments, categories, tags, and links.
Author – can write, upload photos to, edit, and publish their own posts.
Contributor – has no publishing or uploading capability, but can write and edit their own posts until they are published
Follower (public sites) / Viewer (private sites only) – can read and comment on posts and pagesTry logging in as the Admin of the blog because they have the required Admin access. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator
-
NOTE: You have to log out, clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then log in as the Admin under the username account that registered the blog.
Authors don’t have access to all Admin functions. If they did they could delete the whole site.
-
Ok, I am now writing you from the Admin account. I don’t want to confuse my question, I have no problems with the Admin or Author accounts.
I also have the My Site & Reader in upper left… that bar is BLACK, which is why I wasn’t seeing the “gray bar.” However, from that bar, I do not see how I can access the Dashboard. If the only way to get to the dashboard is by typing in the URL, then I understand… I ‘m just not clear if that’s the only way. IS THAT THE ONLY WAY TO GET TO THE DASHBOARD?
I am using both Mac-Safari, and PC-IE.
Thanks!

I’m sorry my help did not result in a resolution for you.
Thanks re: the image. (I guess I need a new one as my hair is at least a foot longer now.) -
Hover over “My Sites”, then hover over the blog that you want to go to, then click “WP Admin”.
