Dashboard access

Thank you for answering my question, supernovia.
Having two different WP’s will make it confusing for any of us older bloggers trying to help out those with new accounts/blogs.

I did not answer this one re: viewers.
If they don’t set up a blog and only set up a username, will they still be able to access Admin features such as approving replies to their posts?

They’ll have whatever permissions are available for their user role. More info here:

If you check these threads out please you will note the repetitious nature of 6 months of such stuff.

@dandelionsalad, I’ve been using WordPress since 2008 and providing support full time since 2012, so I understand where you’re coming from there. While things have changed a lot since the inception of WordPress, these changes can feel a little more drastic if you haven’t been using the mobile apps (or the new interface) much.
But if you think in terms of most new users not having a long history with WP-Admin, and knowing many of them will be using the mobile apps on a regular basis, it makes perfect sense to give them a more consistent experience. And we will definitely keep working to bring over features!
And, for your entertainment, a WordPress time machine:

supernovia, I’ve never used a mobile app as I don’t have a mobile phone with such capabilities. It’s still too bad that new users cannot easily access some of the additional functions for their blog(s).
