Dashboard access / account recovery

    I created a blog on October 28th and accessed the back end regularly over the next 6 or 7 days. Now, when I attempt to manage the dashboard with my e-mail and password it seems I somehow lost access.

    I get:

    User ljcharlton Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested

    You are logged in as “ljcharlton” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “2014 PA Eagles Bowling Tournament”. If you are not “ljcharlton”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “ljcharlton” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.

    Well, I am ljcharlton and I haven’t changed the e-mail I used to create the account — http://bowlpafoe.wordpress.com

    I submitted an account recovery request last Friday and have heard nothing back. I need access tonight for a meeting.

    I’ve tried everything suggested in these forums for similar issues in the past (clear caches, other browsers, etc.) all to no avail.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Hi Larry – The user account ‘ljcharlton’ isn’t a user on that blog. It appears you have a second WordPress.com account with a different username and email that owns that blog. If you log out as ‘ljcharlton’ and log back in with the other user account, you’ll be able to get in.

    Do you know the credentials for your second account? If not, let me know, and I’ll email you privately.
