Dashboard and Site Ridiculously Slow
-
Hi,
I’m helping manage a blog on an upgraded WordPress.com account. The dashboard and the all of the admin pages have been running ridiculously, agonizingly slow (I mean minutes, not seconds). When they do finally load, they’re often missing key page elements and the CSS stylesheets.
This is not an intermittent problem, and seems to go on all the time. The actual website loads extremely slowly at first, but then seems to do OK after I load a couple of sub-pages.
Ironically, the problem doesn’t seem to affect any of the other blogs I manage on WordPress.com. Just this one, which makes me think there’s some type of server problem, or what-have-you.
I would have sent an email directly to support, but I can’t access the email form even though we’ve payed for the premium service.
Very frustrating since it’s preventing me from working. Any ideas?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I wonder if you cannot because you’d have to be logged in as the blog’s owner? At any rate, I’ll modlook this thread. Posting a link to the blog you are asking about would be useful.

Ah, I thought that would have gone in from my dropdown selection: anniewald.wordpress.com. Thanks.

It was working this morning great! But now, I can’t get the site to load at all. :(
Just a message from Chrome: “Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to anniewald.com”

One new development. If I use my VPN, I can get the site to load. Any reason why WordPress.com would be ignoring requests from overseas IP addresses?

When I was having problems loading the website (not the admin), I was browsing from Morocco.

Hm, we don’t have any reported issues from Morocco.
Do you have any luck if you check or uncheck “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages” from Users -> Personal Settings in your blog’s Dashboard?
