Dashboard bar disappeard

Add topic to favorites
When I am logged in on my work station and view my blog I no longer see the dashboard bar at the top of the page. Any suggestions on getting that back? I contacted support a couple of days ago but ran out of time to really get the problem nailed down. They asked if I had scripts disabled which since then I’ve checked and it is not disabled.

P.S. as I look at the forums it is there. But when I view my blog. If you’re confused about the bar I’m speaking of it’s the blue bar at the top that has a drop down menu for my account, it has a link to my dashboard and a link for a new post.

A couple of people have asked about this today. Try clearing your internet cache and cookies and doing a forced reload of the page and see if that works. You’ll probably have to sign in again, but it should work.

I found my cookies file and emptied it. I find that I have to empty my “cookies” folder a lot. Is that because it reaches capacity?

After emptying my cookies folder, I logged in and returned to my site but the bar is still not there.

A forced reload of a page (control F5 if memory serves, which is might not) just absolutely backs your browser up against the wall and tells it, “Look, I don’t care what your settings are, you go look at that page again and you tell me what it says right NOW!”

The cookies pile up and interfere with one another sometimes, it’s best to clear them whenever you sign out of your browser. Which browser are you using, by the way? And what version , too, like IE6 or IE7, etc.

They also asked me to hit cntrl f5. I can try it again but it didn’t work. I am using I browse through Internet Explorer version 6.0.

So the solution is to emty your cookies folder. Return to your site and hit “control” F5 simultaneously. That’s what worked for me anyway.

Marked as resolved. Just for reference, you only need to post once about an issue. Discussing it in multiple threads just creates more work for the volenteers around here.
