Dashboard crashes ipad browsers

  I use both Chrome and Safari browsers on my iPad mini but both keep crashing when I use the dashboard. The time it takes to crash differs each time. This makes it difficult to do anything. Can anyone tell me why this keeps happening and what I can do to stop it? I have tried rebooting the iPad many times.
