Dashboard crashing and hanging

  The dashboard is crashing. This started 24 hours ago. The dashboard hangs when updating a published post or publishing a new post or tweeting an existing post or deleting the spam folder.

  Can you please try clearing out your cache and cookies? Also make sure you are running the latest browser version.

  Thanks kardotim, I’ve done that now and will monitor the dashboard performance. There were four “events” in the last 24 hours so if the problem isn’t cured, I’d expect to be able to report more “events” in the next 24 hours. I use the latest version of Opera.

  The problem is back. When I edit a post and press update it can take 60 seconds-plus to update. However it is not indefinitely hanging like yesterday. Something is not right. I did clear all private data including cookies and caches, and I have ensured I have the latest version of Opera (11.61).

  This was probably related to a server hiccup for the After the Deadline proofreading service. We’ll look into it, but if that happens again you can disable automattic proofreading when posts are published in Users->Personal settings.
