Dashboard failure
-
I post to the future regularly. I select from my drafts, schedule about three days into the future which means each morning I add one or two posts and change the draft status to published and set a date for two or three more entires.
This morning I could not use Quick Edit. The screen jumped but did not open the edit console. I tried to edit the message which opened but did not display the message body–I later discovered the text was displayed in a white font, thus invisible. I couldn’t edit the draft status or schedule a publication date. I could preview the message but it appeared with no template.
I checked on a second machine and with a different browser. Same thing.
I tried a new post only to discover that I couldn’t see what I typed.
I set a new template. I couldn’t find Dusk among the templates provided. That worked.
I couldn’t use either the Screen Options or Help links either.
What’s going on? What can I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t know what’s going on, but functionality has returned. I turned off webfiltering in Sunbelt Software’s Firewall Vipre. That allowed me to do the quick edit and use the screen options and help buttons. I turned webfiltering back on and I still had functiionality. Please note, I’ve been using Vipre and WordPress together for sometime with no previous conflicts.
But I still couldn’t see my text in the new post box.
I turned webfiltering off again and now I could see the text. Turning webfiltering back on doesn’t seem to have removed my dashboard functionality.
Guess, I need to let Sunbelt know.
