Dashboard going nuts. Help!
-
Oh dear..
I just purchased a domain and was about to transfer some files over to the new domain. However,
While setting up my Profile..
I came across this option:
WordPress Url: (naturally, I typed in my wordpress blog which is: paperdiaries.wordpress.com)
Website: (I insert my domain here) paperdiaries.comThe next thing I know, I landed in the wp-login.php for my paperdiaries.wordpress.com.
Whenever I attempt to log in my domain’s dashboard, it kept redirecting back my old wordpress blog instead.
I tried going to paperdiaries.com/wp-admin but it keeps going back to …wordpress.com/wp-admin.This is so frustrating.
Can anyone help me out here?

We won’t be able to help you with sites external to WP.com. You can get support for that at WordPress.org. Looks like you have convinced your external site that it’s a WP.com site.

I did but the answer I got from them was:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting WordPress.com. Your admin URL will always be http://paperdiaries.wordpress.com/wp-admin. There is no way to change the admin URL.
Once again, my password has been reset.
I’m totally can’t access my domain’s dashboard and the link keeps redirecting me back to paperdiaries.wordpress.com/wp-admin which is my old blog.

Are you talking about your new, external site redirecting to your WordPress.com blog? You will need to change the settings at that external site. That can’t be done from here. You will need to look through the forums at WordPress.ORG for help as far as I can tell.
