Hi there, it came to our attention that something is wrong with my admin page. The dashboard I have is very limited/basic and doesn’t have ‘Appearance’ as a choice. The Sidebar is gray in color rather than the regular black menu sidebar. Please help. Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You are confusing wordpress.COM hosted blog dashboards with wordpress.ORG software install dashboards. They are not the same.

Are you asking how to upload a third party theme, custom theme, stylesheets from another theme, or how to create your own theme?

None of those can be done on any wordpress.COM hosted blogs. There is no FTP access to wordpress.COM hosted blogs like that site linked to your username and no upgrade changes that reality.

The only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes
    Read: http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/
There is no upgrade you can buy here that changes that.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Be sure to read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

For a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

The dashboard I have is very limited/basic and doesn’t have ‘Appearance’ as a choice.

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.

The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:

    http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

    * You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with your actual blog’s name in that URL.

To navigate to the Appearance page > Dashboard > Appearance use this link please http://forenvy.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php

To read about the theme customizer got to this support doc https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/
