dashboard mucking about?

Hi,
For some reason my dashboard is having a bit of a moment, I know sometimes chrome doesn’t like certain areas so I have switched to IE and back to try things but still there are some issues.
I noticed my header image had gone a few moments ago and am trying to upload a replacement however it wont appear correctly when it asks to crop the image, and so I cant crop it. moments before I was having some issues with a page which would not appear on the site for some unknown reason, I eneded up copying the HTML from the page deleting it and starting again, that worked, but I’d rather not completely rebuild the site If I could avoid it!! the only thing I was doing at the time was trying to add an image to the sidebar.
Any ideas as to what is happening? any fixes? suggestions?
