Dashboard no longer clearly arranged

  • Unknown's avatar

I was very confused yesterday evening (Swiss time) on my iPad as some things were no longer on my dashboard. When I went to my computer this morning I now have three columns on my dashboard instead of two (the third containing an empty squre outline) and details of new comments/spam were no longer where they should be. The box to tick to turn my dashboard to two columns again is no longer there. I have now seen that an update was made. Why do you fix something when it is not broken? I am not happy. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Thanks for your feedback. We consolidated some widgets and added new ones. You can still rearrange the widgets to where you’d like them to be and take advantage of the third (or fourth) column, depending on your browser’s width.

I appreciate you taking the time to let us know your thoughts. If you have any questions or anything else we can do for you, please let us know. Thanks!

I do not think you have understood me. My actual blog page is ok, I do not want other columns there, do not need them and my widgets are where I want them to be. I am just reporting that I find the new organisation of my Dashboard is complicated and not logical. I would prefer it as it was, just two columns and not an empty space reserved in a third column which I do not want or need.

  • Hi,

I understood you—we consolidated and added new dashboard widgets—the boxes on the dashboard page at http://angloswiss.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ in addition to changing the columns to be responsive to your browser’s width.

As one of the developers that worked on the project, I appreciate the feedback, even if it is negative.

    Thanks again.
