Dashboard not loading

  My dashboard won’t load – not the WSOD, but rather the website loads partially, just the bare bones of the structure/template, but not any real info. E.g. on the My Stats page, I see the boxes that say views/visitors etc but the number remains a “-“ while at the top left it just says Loading My Sites.

  I’ve reset my cache and disabled extensions and nothing has helped. Tried on chrome v77.0.3865.120 and safari v13.0.2 (both up-to-date).

  My blog is fairly straightforward and I’ve used it for writing, entirely personal so no ads or plugins or any of the sort hooked up (other than the usual WordPress ones).

  Are you sure you’ve tried with all extensions disabled, even ad or tracker blockers?

  Also, do you have JavaScript enabled in your browser?

  Hi,

  Yeah I’ve tried it on Chrome with all extensions disabled and JavaScript enabled, same on Safari except I don’t have any extensions in the first place.

  The website works absolutely fine on my phone, but I have no clue what it is on my computer that’s causing a problem. If it’s of any help I use a 2015 Macbook Pro.

  Hi Clare, is there any chance you’ve got a security setting on your computer that could be blocking scripts? I’ll typically see that blank boxes / “loading” indefinitely if scripts are being blocked somehow.

  Usually it’s a browser setting, but given that it’s happening in two browsers, I’m guessing it’s a setting on your system.

  Is there any chance you can try another computer — and if it’s at work, can you try a computer that is not on that network, as your admins could be blocking things there?
