Dashboard not working in IE9
-
For over a week now the Dashboard only shows the stats, nothing else works, not the Reader nor anything else, and the circle just goes round and round loading but never getting anywhere. I use IE9. I have done all the usual, cookie dance etc. IE was working previously for me.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Are you logging in using the secure https:// log-in? see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/Have you tried running your browser with all extensions and add-ons disabled?
Do you have another browser you can try like Firefox? If you are willing to try using it and don’t have it installed click here please http://browsehappy.com

You should be more than willing, because Firefox and Safari are reliable browsers while IE isn’t: whenever problems reported here prove to be browser related, it’s almost always IE, sometimes Chrome, almost never Safari or Firefox.

Ok thanks for that. I was hoping that maybe WP would fix the issue with IE as i prefer using IE to anything else. Chrome works ok but never shows the bar graph, but that’s not important to me anyway. I don’t want to use Firefox as i’ve heard about the add-ons you get that are not good and hard to remove. I might give Safari a try though Thanks a lot for the advice.

What you heard about Firefox add-ons and extensions is rubbish. I have used it for years and never once experienced such a problem with instrallation or removale of any add-on. Do be aware that Chrome does not have a built-in feedreader so you need to install this > RSS Subscription Extension (by Google) for Chrome

Seconded. Firefox works very well, and disabling or uninstalling an add-on is a matter of a couple of clicks.

Thanks for that. It’s good to hear that the add ons can be disabled. I’ll try Firefox then as that seems to be the best option for WP. Cheers both.
