I have two blogs going at the moment – one is a collaborative affair and the other is just mine – they both appear on the ‘ my blog ‘ section of the dashboard and everyone who has a password has full edit etc access to both.
Is there any way I can keep my blog private – or can I disassociate one from the other permanently

    pete

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can create an new username account using a different email address and then transfer the blog to that new account.

    1. Log out of your account. Clear your browser cache and cookies.

    2. Do NOT log-in to wordpress.com. Point your browser to http://wordpress.com/signup to register your new username account.
    3. Follow these steps to transfer the blog from the old username to the new username. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

Yes. The blog will retain the same URL and name unless you choose to change the name here (Settings > General). The URL cannot be changed.

The unique identifier here is the email address you use to create a username account with.

I need a new email address? I cannot use the email acc I already have registered with the original blog?

    That’s correct.
Every username account must have a unique (different) email address.
In your case there will be two username accounts with two different email addresses and two dfferent log-in passwords. Then you can follow the instructions and transfer the blog from one username account to the other username account.
