dashboard problem

  i am trying to change the theme of my blog – and when i go to my dashboard i don’t get all the options such as “presentation” which is what i need to change it (according to FAQ). i only get about 4 options.

  Are you the blog admin? Is it your blog?

  I am having the same problem setting a friend of mine up with a new blog at http://bluenoser.wordpress.com. It’s also happening at http://runningthoughrain.wordpress.com. We’re getting 404 errors when looking for Extras or Custom Header.

  i don’t have a URL yet – i haven’t started blogging. i’m just trying to choose a theme first. i’m using safari – could that be an issue? thanks.

  Just to clarify what you have said above. You cannot “test” a theme on a wordpress.com blog unless and until you have wordpress.com blog and all blogs do have urls. The urls of wordpress.com blogs look like this http://thisismyblog.wordpress.com

  There is no ftp uploading at wordpress.com. If you have downloaded free software from wordpress. org then know that it is different from the software that we run on here at wordpress.com. If that is the case, then you need to go to the correct forum for support http://wordpress.org/support

  If you do have a wordpress.com blog then note the following:
  Yes Safari is problematic. Can you use Camino or Firefox?
