dashboard recently published displays someone elses posts

    In dashboard (https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/) the recently published list under Activity shows blog posts that are not mine (and which date to June and May so are not recent either). Clicking on the links just takes me to another screen of the dashboard.

    I came to my dashboard when logging in so as to comment on someone else’s blog (blogspot) which asked for a wordpress log-in to publish the comment. I have a screen shot if that would be of any help. You should be able to see it here: http://quimperhitty.wordpress.com/?attachment_id=7208

    I am seeing this as well when I go to https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/.

    Is this what is known as the “Global dashboard”?

    Well, I have good news and bad news.

    The good news is that WordPress.com is traditional. The bad news is, they have a tradition of doing major changes which cause bugs on Friday afternoons, leaving them all weekend for the bloggers to try to cope with.

    I flagged this for staff attention, as that’s a serious security issue.

    So the good news here is there is nothing to be alarmed about. That is an older Dashboard page that we are replacing over time with the one at http://wordpress.com which is the new “global” dashboard for your WordPress.com account.

    You will be able to log in there normally, where you can also access your blog(s) by going here: http://wordpress.com/my-blogs/

    @Quimper Hitty – I am going to look into this, as you should not be getting redirected in this way. What is the URL of the post your were trying to comment on so I can take a closer look.

    @Tara – How did you come to be directed to that page? I’d like to check that out as well.

    staff-totoro – thanks for the response. I only came across the page because of this thread. I have been reading forum topics to learn the ins and outs of WordPress.com. Thanks again.
