Dashboard sidebar disappears when edit post or page
-
When I am on the main dashboard (the black sidebar with settings, appearance, plugins, etc) and I click on post, add new post, the page goes full screen and the black sidebar disappears. The only way to see it is to click on the black square wp logo in the upper left. But then it takes me out of my post for editing. I tried looking and found two different results. If you look at this video you will see how the black bar disappears and you only see the black wp logo in the upper left. This is what mine is doing

However, if you look at this video, it doesn’t disappear. This is what I want. Is there a setting somewhere to change this behavior?

Hi Karen,
To see the admin menu in the editor, click the three dots top-right in the editor, and click on Full Screen Mode to switch that off.
