Dashboard Still Wonky

    ‘Allo! I am a blogger based in Singapore who is *still* having issues w/ various functionality on my blog (i.e. can write, but having trouble saving posts; stats page(s) timing out). Some of my Singapore based blogger friends don’t seem to be having this problem. (I know this via Twitter.)

    Is there any other information I can provide the Support Team so that these issues get resolved ASAP?

    I am not able to access my dashboard or any of my blogs either. I am also based in Singapore. It has been so for the past three days. Pls reply.

    Hi, are you guys using StarHub. If yes then we are facing the same problem.

    I tried using my SingTel mobile broadband and Office Network. It works fine. When I reached home using my StarHub cable, I am unable to load the dashboard.

    Frankly speaking, I am not too sure. I thought of calling the tech support but the cable is not under my name. For now, I use my mobile broadband first.

    May be u can call StarHub tech support.

    Starhub technical assistance not helpful. They use dynamic IP addresses. WordPress, it’s all you. Help us all, please!

    This is the reply i got from WordPress: At this point I would recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider to see if they have seen any other reports of trouble accessing WordPress.com. They may be able to help you sort out what is causing the connection interruption. If they need anything else from us please let me know.

    Has anyone contacted Starhub? I am quite fed-up with this unresolved problem!

    I contacted. They use dynamic IP addresses and can’t reassign/renew addresses. What should we be asking them to do?

    Am a Starhub Broadband user with no access to my blog on WordPress at all. Its ween several days.

    If your ISP uses dynamic IPs, try shutting down your router and restarting it. That will give you a new IP.Or use a proxy to surf the net.

    I have not been able to completey access wordpress.com, nor my blogs for 3 days from any computer I have tried at home or work. I am in Tokyo. I would say this is more than a local server problem.

    @raincoaster, turned off router several times. That doesn’t help. It’s something else and we can’t figure out what. Seriously thinking of moving my blog elsewhere if this isn’t resolved soon.

    I’ve written to staff again to ask exactly what we need to address w/ Starhub, if anything. I am also on the phone w/ Starhub right now as well.

    Starhub has escalated the problem to their technical/connectivity team. I have no idea what this means w/r/t timeline, but at least it’s on their radar.

    I’ve also Tweeted Starhub, WordPress.com and stressed there are many people w/ this problem. I’ve linked to this thread in my Tweet. Please RT if you can.

    this is the problem i informed wordpress and reply i got from them

    Thanks for contacting us. As a result of a large denial of service attack directed at WordPress.com servers on Thursday, our upstream internet providers have implemented some filters to prevent malicious traffic from reaching our network. While we tried to make these blocks as specific as possible, it appears that your IP is caught up in the range of the block at the moment. Unfortunately, we cannot remove the block immediately, but we hope to have everything back to normal later this week.

    I am very sorry for the inconvenience. We will contact you again as soon as we have an update.
