Data attributes of "uploads" folder @ 777

Hi there
Last week as I have published a new post on my site, all gone good.
Today as I wrot a article, and I try to upload a image the image dont appear, I only received a red cross.I saw a article in the web that I have to change the data attributes of the uplao folder @ 777. As I have done that,
everything went fine.Now Im asking is it may be dangerous that I have changed the attributes @ 777 of the upload folder?

Sorry I posted there my question.
But I have one question along my account here. How can I change my “Main-Linked” blog-name? I changed the domain, but in my profile is still the old domain and Im not able to change update or somwhat else…

Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

PS – yes 777 is a very bad setting – change it back where it was while you are waiting for help on your upload problems from the WordPress.ORG people.
