Data Capture (forms)

  Hi

  I am looking to put some data capture on a couple of my blogs on wordpress.com but as yet been unable to find a way of doing this has anyone got any suggestions?

  I have a couple of products I use for data capture (Formspring and Constant contact) neither seem to work in the html widget. All I want to do is capture information in a form.
  First Name
  Last Name
  Email

  Any solution would be great

  The WordPress.com contact form is the only one allowed on our wp.com blogs. http://support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

  You would have to use an external service for anything else.

  Hi justjennifer

  Thanks, tried that and it works to a point and I will be able to use this, however what I really would like is to be able to control the data capture, So I can capture peoples details for events, gig information etc.

  So if anyone knows of a way I would really appreciate some alternatives.

  We can’t provide more specific help without a link to your blog, starting with http. As Jennifer said, at WordPress.com, it can’t be done; you would need an external service. On a WordPress.ORG blog, it’s easy.

  hi i tried to add the [contact-form] to my main page, but it doesnt show. am i doing something wrong?

  never mind i guess i dint wait long enough, its on there.
