Data gone wrong

    Something went terribly wrong with my blog. The sidebar does no longer work properly. It is supposed to be on the right side (Theme “Ari”) but is displayed on the left side over the other sidebar.
    I tried to change the Theme and change back, both Themes had the same error.
    I tried a different browser (from Safari to Firefox and back again) and both show the same error.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Woah! I see this issue. I’ll tag this thread for Themes Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

    Thanks for the quick response.
    It is definitely something that I can’t change.

    I’m not sure about that because if your look at the live demo site here http://aridemo.wordpress.com/ the template is fine. All blogs wearing the same theme are using that same underlying template. You could have an open HTML tag in a post or in a text widget that’s causing this layout issue. See here please for troubleshooting you can undertake http://en.support.wordpress.com/html-troubleshooting/

    As timethief says you have some incorrectly formatted HTML in your most recent post. Are you using the text editor when you write your posts?

    Go to edit that post and see if you can correct them and your theme should revert to normal once you update the post.

    Thanks for your quick response.
    I did that and now it looks normal again. I am relieved.

    Usually I don’t use html and simply write in the editor, letting the editor do all the formatting.

    In this case I pasted some text from my mail client. Maybe that brought about some formatting that went wrong? I don’t know. Anyway, problem is solved. Thanks again for your kind help.

    That’s probably what did it!

    If you are pasting from another application then there is an option to do so without including any of the source formatting, which is what I would advise doing in future. You can learn more about it here.

    Okay, I will be more cautious in the future about that. I didn’t assume it could cause any trouble.

    @halluke
    Thanks for reading the source code and finding the HTML error. Tagging for Staff removed.
