Data not importing

  I am trying to import my old Xanga data in xml format. I followed the steps to import and have gotten emails saying it was successful, but don’t see the posts anywhere. I am brand new to WordPress and so may be looking in the wrong spot. I have one ‘test’ post I have already published and that’s all I see.

  A few more details after looking at similar help topics:
  – I’m using Chrome
  – It has been days since I last attempted the import
  – I did one file at a time
  – I never got a confirmation screen; it kept saying “Processing”, but I did get the emails saying the import had finished
  – The xml files I downloaded from Xanga are tiny, but assuming it’s just text, that shouldn’t be the problem…?

  I’ve been using WordPress for a while and I’m having the same issue. Only, one of my 12 XML files actually worked, interestingly enough. Attempts at using any of the other files results in a confirmation email but no imported posts.

  Hope to see an answer.
