Data usage with the app
-
Quick question : if I save a draft online, with photos and videos on it, using wifi. Then, does it require a lot of data if I just add a bunch of text and publish it without wifi? In other words, does uploading a post with already uploaded videos and photos on it still uses the same amount of data than if I was uploading it from scratch?
thanks!

Hello, here is what i know:
- Drafts with Uploaded Media: If your photos and videos are already uploaded to the draft while you were using WiFi, they are stored on the WordPress.com server.
- Adding Text Offline: When you add text to the draft without WiFi and then publish it, you’re only uploading the new text content, not the photos and videos again.
- Data Usage: Uploading text uses significantly less data compared to uploading photos and videos. So, publishing a post with pre-uploaded media will use much less data than uploading everything from scratch.
In summary, if your media files are already uploaded, adding text and publishing the post later will require minimal data usage.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions.
