  can i create a database with a basic account? i am asking because i think the answer is no but i’m hoping it’s actually yes. i found instructions on how to create a database but i couldn’t figure it out, so it occurred to me maybe i can’t do it with a basic account. i would be grateful if someone could please help me. thank you.

  No you cannot do that on a free hosted WordPress.COM blog.

  WordPress is is a great big database with things displayed on the screen based on what a viewer asks for

  No you can’t touch the database in a WordPress.COM blog and messing with one in a WordPress.ORG install is not recommended
