database and site files

    I am trying to export database and site files as I have a host that I want to transfer all my content over to that is also wordpress

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    The only way to transfer your content somewhere else is with the XML export file we provide. That will contain all your content and links to your media files which should be transferred when you import that file to another site.

    Your site’s theme, settings and other files can’t be exported, as the version of WordPress we use on WordPress.com is not directly compatible with the self-hosted version of WordPress.
