Database Backup for wordpress.com (moving to new hosting)

  I am in the middle of trying to move my site from worpress.com to self hosted.

  The hosting provider is requesting a copy of database but I cannot find any info related to the procedure in doing this?

  All I can find is how the export the XML file (which I have already done).

  Can someone please share how I can get a copy of my database please asap…

  I believe I am also in the process of doing the very same thing.

  How do I export my data so that I can move my site to a different server/host?

  There is no upgrade you can purchase from wordpress.com that will provide access to the database, FTP access, etc. for wordpress.COM hosted sites.
