  I am having a problem with wordpress.COM — I keep getting an error message that says I need to clear old database tables. It appears from my search that this was an issue in September of 2007 as well, but there was no solution posted in the forums.

  This is not an issue with a blog hosted at wordpress.com

  I have the same problem, I don’t have the option to write anything in my new blog an it says I need to clear old databases because it was already installed

  I know for sure I have never installed anything from wordpress.org on my machine.
  As others I am getting the “clear old databases” message. This service is telling me to spend more time clicking links to other sites?

  Dudes, cancel my account. There are other sites that are easy to use and we don’t have to deal with time consuming issues from the first moment. Ciao

  Nobody here is going to cancel your account. If you’re getting a database message you’re in the wrong forum entirely and need to be at WordPress.org.
