Date and Time Formatting glitch
-
FIRST OF ALL, PLEASE ADD AN OPTION TO ADD PHOTOS IN THE DESCRIPTION.
https://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time
According to the Date and Time Formatting formulated by you (link above), in order to enter plain text (escaping formatting), we have to put a backslash (/) as a suffix to the alphabet we want to type as plain text.
I followed the rules. I wanted to put ‘(A. D. )’ (Anno Domini) after the ‘year’, in the date format of my website. I used the coding ‘l, dS F, Y (A. D. )’. In the preview, I got my desired format ‘Tuesday, 04th July, 2017 (A. D. )’. However, when I save everything and then go to actually view my posts, the date format over there is like ‘Tuesday, 04th July, 2017 (AM. Tue. )’. Means the backslash is avoided, not working as a format-escaper. You can have a look at my blog’s home page and view the date format of any post here (https://rohanramvaswani.wordpress.com/).
I WOULD’VE ADDED SCREENSHOTS FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF MY PROBLEM, NUT UNFORTUNATELY COULD NOT FIND ANY SUCH OPTION. ALSO, I DIDN’T EVEN FIND YOUR SUPPORT E-MAIL I. D. WHERE I COULD REPORT MY ISSUE WITH FULL DESCRIPTION ALONGWITH SCREENSHOTS. PLEASE CONSIDER PUTTING ‘ADD IMAGES’ FEATURE AS WELL.

Hi rohanrv,
I did some testing on my own site, and it looks like you need to double escape for it to work.
I took what you posted, and changed it to:
l, d F, Y (\A. \D.)
Note the double slashes.
You can see a working example on my site: https://jaymendoza20170607.com/
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Jay
