Date badges
-
How would I go about adding date badges to the left side of blog posts in the theme zBench? I know there is a way to do it with CSS but I don’t have the custom CSS upgrade :(
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I assume your see that every post in that theme does display a date and that every URL for a post contains the date. Setting that side, we cannot edit themes or templates on free hosted wordpress.com blogs.
You cannot add “date badges” without the annually renewable CSS upgrade and I don’t know if you can with it. Prior to purchasing the upgrade you can use the Preview function to be sure that you can do this yourself. See here > Appearance > Edit CSS
Since there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support, I recommend that you don’t buy the upgrade unless you have at least moderate understanding of HTML and CSS because you must be prepared to do the work on your own.

Looks like it might be possible with the CSS upgrade but you’d need to edit the CSS every time you publish a new post as the entries don’t have the date details included in the HTML element class (as some themes do). This would make it a LOT of work to implement and you’d need to buy the upgrade, not for the faint of heart.
