Date change of post and lost comment

  • Unknown's avatar

I started my blog at the end of July. I put one of my first posts up as a page. I looked at it again this morning because I wanted to post the link to it, and the date, instead of being July 27 or 28, was Sept. 4, and the comments were missing. I know there had been at least one comment, maybe more. Any idea what would have caused that? I thought maybe the date changed when a post was edited, but I edited it this morning and it didn’t change then.

I would guess the comments are lost forever, but is there any way to change the date back?

Even if there’s not I wanted to let someone know it happened.

    My blog is at http://barbarah.wordpress.com/
The post in question is http://barbarah.wordpress.com/testimony/

    Thanks,
    Barbara H.

It appears you didn’t change anything. It looks like you made a copy of your Post and copied it over into a Page. I still see the comments on the Post. That’s why you have a different date as well since the Page you created is actually an additional article on your blog, not a replacement.

    Hope this helps,

Oh — ok, thanks. Sorry for the confusion. I had forgotten I had it at two different places (duh!)

    Thanks again.
